This category contains articles about God's commandments, statutes, and judgments. These are the laws that we will be judged by in the day of Judgment. We must know more about them! That is the purpose of these articles.
Note: to avoid any misunderstandings we want to state right at the beginning that we do not believe in doing any sacrifices, or rituals, which were part of the ceremonial law. These passed away with the death of Christ. We also do not believe there is any obligation to do Jewish traditions which originate outside the Bible (although some of them are nice and have good symbolism).
We do believe in obeying the laws God gave to explain and amplify the Ten Commandments, which were many times called Statutes and Judgments. You will learn more about these laws as you read the articles below. But please note that some of these laws prescribe penalties for those who transgress them. They were given at a time in history when God was ruling a nation. But Jesus said that now His kingdom is not of this world (John 18:36). So we are never to take into our own hands the punishment of those who transgress these laws in modern times. God has given the duty of punishing transgressors of the law to the judges and magistrates of the government (Rom. 13:1-7). But we are to quietly live holy lives and encourage others to also live by God's Commandments, Statutes, and Judgments.
We pray that you will enjoy reading the following articles.
